IT IS NO ACCIDENT I design the way I do

I come from a family of teachers, world travelers and all-around creative people. Without conscious thought, I create out of what was most important to them.
My passion for creating came from my mother and maternal grandmother. My maternal grandfather, a chemistry professor, would be thrilled that I only choose safe metals for my jewelry (Cu + Zn - no Ni).
My father's family loved travel. His mother filled her home with wonderful finds from around the world and I get the greatest joy in shopping the globe for unique beads and materials. My paternal grandfather, dean of a university's school of architecture, designed and built his family's home.

It is the simple COLOR, SHAPE and TEXTURE in MODERN DESIGN that inspires my work.

I am proud to create with lead-free, nickel-free metals made in the USA! I purchase beads from vendors who pay fair trade and value worker safety. In consideration of human rights I do not use stone beads due to toxic working conditions for stone cutters and grinders.
I donate a portion of my profits to microloans through Kiva - ending the cycle of poverty.
